Sensenich hardware is not standard AN hardware. Our bolts are shorter in grip length (more threaded area) than standard AN hardware. In some cases standard AN hardware will bottom out in the flange bushings giving you an inaccurate torque measurement.
Rigorous Inspection Procedure... With Sensenich hardware, you don't have to worry about where the hardware came from. Here's what we do...
All bolts are manufactured by vendors who have passed our five page SUPPLIER QUALITY SYSTEM QUESTIONAIRE in conjunction with an on site inspection.
Once a vendor is approved, our QA manager is required to perform an on site inspection every two years. This is to assure us that all manufacturing standards and inspection techniques are properly being used.
When ordering the bolts, the purchase order must be signed by the QA manager to verify that the correct drawing revisions are being used.
Upon receiving the bolts, they are compared to the original purchase order to verify that all requirements were met.
All bolts received must be accompanied with a certification package provided by the approved vendor. This package contains a certification statement along with mechanical tests and chemical composition. Twice every year, this package is tested by an outside lab to verify the certification supplied to us by the approved vender.
Every bolt is visually inspected for plating, head markings (this verifies a Sensenich bolt) and workmanship. A conformity inspection, to the drawing, is performed for bolt length, grip length, thread length, diameter and head size.
In house random thread tests are performed on each shipment.
An in house Rockwell hardness test is performed on each shipment.
The bolt inventory is secured in a locked holding area with proof of acceptance attached to each lot of bolts.
If you currently own a Sensenich Metal Propeller, you will find the bolt kits listed under 'MODEL' for your propeller model. Make sure you read the section on how to identify your Sensenich propeller. Most Sensenich propellers have a spacer (extension) dowel pinned to them. Check the spacer length before ordering your bolt kit.
The 'OVERALL' length of the bolt is measured in inches from under the head to the end of the bolt. Never include the head.
The "GRIP' length of the bolt is measured in inches from under the head to where the threads start. The unthreaded section of the bolt only. Never include the head.
The 'PRICE' does not include shipping. Most kits weigh 2 to 4 pounds and are shipped via UPS. You may specify a special delivery rate such as second day or overnight.
The 'PARTS' column will inform you what is in the kit.
Sensenich only sells 3/8", 7/16", and 1/2" diameter bolts. Please make sure you are in the right diameter section before ordering your kit.
